How to empty a Mayo squeezy bottle?

Featured Replies

I know, a ridiculous question! But in frustration, I was about to toss an almost empty bottle of Mayo in the bin, so thought I'd ask here first. No amount of squeezing works, you just get a bubble f*rt of the stuff. Even trying to scoop out with a knife is soul destroying, it doesn't really work. Apart from slicing the bottle open, has anyone managed to develop a technique to get all the contents out?

Pour in a small amount of the main liquid ingredient, rapeseed oil in this case, and leave it with the mayo at the bottom ie upside down and let the oil mix with the mayo giving it a gentle swirl until it mixes together.

Thought this was another Ireland thread for a minute! :whistling:

I can report back that the suggestion of adding some rapeseed oil actually works! 👍

Don't tell my Mrs. Slicing the bottle open requires (so she thinks) hours spent in my "man cave"!😀

You sound surprised? 😲 Taking advice from a Scot on how to save money! 🤣🤣🤣

I'll be doing the same with a bottle of Nando's Spicy Mayo tonight, only adding water as it's the main ingredient. 😉
