You need to explain a bit more.

What happens when you turn the switch?

The 'normal' operation, is that the side lights (or Parking lights, if you will) will come on, when you unlock the car; it's a part of the so-called "approach lights" system. You will, as likely as not, also have lights below the door mirrors, which are also a part of said system.

Is that what you're seeing, or am I missing the point?

By jingo Rob, I think you have decrypted the question 🎉🎉

Can we assume you have only just acquired this car and have noticed this is the way it operates, or, have you had the car a while and the lights use to operate differently?

I've not come across that abbreviation before, but I have been in a number of Forums, where help has been posted, but the OP does not even have the courtesy to say "Thank you" (as I'm sure we all have), but there it is: the best outcome is for someone else to read the post and learn something from it. 🤷‍♂️

Not the first, and it won't be the last.

I see that you have 'educated' by the rest of the rabble here 🤣

For those who don't know, you can place your mouse cursor over the Posters picture (or whatever it's called) and as if by magic details of the poster will pop-up. Especially handy if you want to see when they last visited the forum, or if they are online when you check.

It works for all members, except one 🤔

Hey, don't you have to reach 7th Dan and 10 years experience before being privy to such secretive information?? 🤣
