Ford Focus 2019 (69 plate) unknown beeping sound

Featured Replies

Hi all,

We have recently purchased a 2019 69 plate ford focus zetec 1.5 diesel.

Everything seems fine with the car, but there is an inconsistent beeping sound coming from the fuse box area on the floor of the passenger side (UK LHS).

The beeping happens consistently when the car is stationary, both with engine running and engine off but car still on.

It also occassionaly happens when actually driving.

There are no warning lights and this is different from the usual chime of the door being ajar or a seat belt not in etc.

Here is a link to video but could not locate exactly where the beep is coming from.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Doesn’t sound like anything OEM. You might want to hunt around for a tracker, 3rd party immobiliser, black box. Etc.

The OEM beeps either come from the speakers or directly behind the dash cluster.

Thanks Alex, will try and get someone who knows what they are looking for with these to help me have a look.

Would love to be able to offer an answer, but certainly doesn't sound like anything that Ford have fitted. It's almost as if it is some device warning you that it's battery is getting low and needs replaced.

Be sure to call back and let us all know what the answer is when you find out what it is 👍
