Got hold of a set of genuine ford mats. Can you buy the twisty bit that locks the mat down. I only have 1 out of 4. Will add a pic when I get to my laptop.

you only need 2 ..they clip into the bar infront of the drivers seat passenger and rear sets dont have clip hole  (ford number 1692342) ebay sells them

i have the brackets in both drivers and passengers, trying to find someone with a 3d printer locally

I had a facelift Titanium with X pack & luxury velour mats...even they only had clips on the drivers side.  Yours may be tailored fit but aftermarket with clips on both sides.

im on my 3rd set of genuine ford mats for the mk2 focus 2007 and non of mine have holes in the mats for the passenger or rear sets also the genuine ones come with 2 sets of the clips .. mk3 focus have clips on both front mats

Emm... not so, with my 2014 MK3 [Titanium Nav Turbo]. The clips (or 'Studs', in fact) are on the drivers side. The passenger side Mats are 'Full Size', and cover all the way up to the top of the Footwell. Clearly, the Driver side ones can't do that, and the retainers are for safety, so that the Matt can't move and obstruct the controls.

I bought mine at Halfords; after market, but they are very nice and a perfect fit.

I seem to remember that facelift Mk3 mats do come with clips on the passenger side.  But PFL don't.  However it's the same floor pan so you can use facelift mats in a PFL car.

The Mk3 mat always annoyed me in mine.  Far too short to catch the dirt dropping off of shoes on pedals, so it had to be removed to hoover underneath every time.

Genuine clips have a right angled section that goes up under the seat.  They need to be pushed down and sort of 'rolled' upwards.  Don't just pull it as it'll rip a hole in the carpet if it doesn't snap first.

I have used these (but not the screwy bit) in "home made" carpets.

No.  On second thoughts, I think they need to be twisted quarter turn and then pulled out.  They're stuck in the carpet up under the seat, not in the floor.
