F1 Autocentres - never again

I booked an appointment last week to have two new front tyres fitted. I dropped the car off and after a couple of hours started wondering why I hadn't had a call to say it was done. Walking back to F1 I then had a call from the manager saying there was a problem and they could only find one of the new tyres. Annoyed at the inconvenience I said I wanted a full refund as I couldn't return for a few days and had an MoT booked elsewhere. The reply I received was they couldn't do that because the one tyre had been fitted and they couldn't get another. Refitting the old tyre wasn't an option as it had been 'punctured to take it off'.

After a big fuss, calling customer services, speaking to the area manager plus half a dozen emails over two days they eventually agreed to give me a refund and the one tyre for free. Accepting that there was nothing much more I could do, I've now waited a week and still not had the refund appear in my bank account. I had the second tyre fitted today from the same company and advertisement (different branch) and then found on collection it was a different make. So after a week driving with one new and one old tyre, I now have two new odd tyres.

What a shambles. To add insult to injury they have also managed to lose three of the wheel nut caps. They were perfectly ok when I had the wheels off recently. I'll now need new ones as the wheel brace no longer fits.
