Rear belt monitor malfunction warning.

Featured Replies

Hello. Usual apologies if this has been answered before. 69 plate 1.0L Mk 4 Focus Hatchback. The other day I started getting the warning in the title and the airbag warning light showing yellow, along with one of the rear seats showing yellow with a question mark on it in the seatbelt info screen. I've been trying to google a solution, one of which is that the sensor module may not be making properly/loose connections. According to what I've read the sensor is located under the rear seat behind the driver, but I can't seem to be able to lift the seat up far enough to get my hand in for a rummage around. Would appreciate any advice on how to get access to it, if possible, or a heads up on other possile causes and or solutions.

Thanks

John
