Misfire

Featured Replies

Have owned my focus 2016 for 2 months and has now got a misfire I have had the spark plugs and ignition coils replaced but still keeps coming up.

The car has no loss of power or any other problems.

Any 1 else have any ideas

You really need to check for DTCs rather than just throwing money at things. You can do this yourself much more cheaply than having a garage (especially Ford) do it by using FORScan. This can read Ford-specific codes which generic OBD scanners can't. It's available as a free download for Windows or for a small charge for a smartphone. For Windows you'll need a £30 vLinker cable or a dongle for a smartphone. FORScan has similar capabilities to Fords own diagnostic software.

You really can't have a miss-fire and no loss of power, that's confusing
