RF receiver location Ford S max 2010

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a problem with my S max 2010 where the key is not detected (Remote Function: Error Code U201F) I have bought a replacement on eBay. I have taken off the overhead console to replace the RF receiver but the problem is I just don't see the receiver anywhere near the overhead console can anyone please point me in the right direction as to where exactly it is located in the vehicle.

Thank you

Remote function receiver is for the remote buttons (RKE)

Keyless start receiver will be under the centre console or on the steering column

Have you put a good enough battery in the fob?

I have changed the key fob battery but no luck even tried the spare but the problem remains.

It first started in April this year as an intermittent problem by leaving the car locked overnight it used to fix the problem but now it seems to have stopped working completely.

I have managed to find the RF receiver, (FORD FOCUS MONDEO KUGA S-MAX KEYLESS RECEIVER BG9T-15K602-AA 2006-2015) if you have a panoramic sunroof then it is located on the front passenger side, accessing it involves taking the rubber trim off around the sunroof and there is just about enough space to grab it with your fingers. By giving the connector a good push it seems to have solved the problem for now, everything seems too be working as it should.

I hope this helps someone else facing the same problem.
