Revs surge

Featured Replies

Evening after any advice please

I have a 2020 s max 2.0 tdci stop start currently the car every now an but seems to be becoming more frequent the revs surge briefly whilst driving.

No engine management lights or spanner coming up on the dash.

You can sort of notice when it's about to happen as accelerator doesn't quite feel right sometimes it will surge an then the revs drop off briefly also.

Wether it's related but a few days ago coming home from holiday the gearbox an accelerator  the only to describe felt really responsive the car does have a sport mode an it felt it was in that even though it wasn't, the ref counter surges have really started since then an literally every time it's driven you can expect a surge even if for a few seconds.

So any help appreciated as I know I will probably have to get booked in but also with no engine management lights there's a possibility of no codes to read the cat has had a the battery replaced a month ago after going into limp mode which threw up multiple codes but seemed to the battery failing.

Any advice greatly appreciated
