Check adaptive headlamps

Featured Replies

Ive just bought a 2021 S-Max (literally today).  I didn't notice this going away from the garage, but now whenever I start it up, I am presented with this message, "Check adaptive headlamps.  See manual".

I cannot see anything in the manual, and can't seem to find much on this forum.  Anyone have any idea what it is or how it might be fixed.  I am a little dismayed given I have only purchased the car today.

(of note, the picture is one off the Internet, not my car, but shows the message)

If you bought it from a trader, let them sort it out.

Sometimes they can need a full new headlight cluster, so I wouldn't bother trying to fix it yourself.

Has been a recall on a software update on adaptive headlights my 2020 had it a couple of years ago wether it's linked
