My car has a tyre pressure label implying for a load of 1-3 people and no luggage, pressures should be 25psi, but for 4 people and assume luggage, pressures of 41psi. So is there an in-between ‘ideal’ pressure setting for say 3 people and half a boot full of stuff? I always used to pump up hard on long holiday journeys for a full motor in my old Honda and let them back down again after the hols. But I never hear of anyone else bothering. Now that my new motor has pressure sensitive sensors, I wonder what to do?

Personally I would not bother for three people and some luggage unless I was driving at German Autobahn speeds for a long time.

If you do change the pressures then you should reset the Base Pressures stored using the Instrument Cluster controls and change them back again when you reduce the Pressures.

The minimum pressure for any size tyre on your car is 28psi. Normally I'd not bother pointing out the 3psi difference but since you're concerned about the exact pressure to use I thought it worth a mention.

Thanks guys., yes 28psi min, my typo. Put this in general chat cos I thought it was a universal type question. Was rather hoping one of u experts would give me a lengthy scientific explanation and graphs of people/baggage against tyre pressure with some complex calculations including weather temperature, road surface, and tyre density…..🤪😊
