"ACC Radar Aligning" warning not going away

Featured Replies

Hi

I have just purchased a Focus 2011. But when I start the engine, there is a message on the drivers console saying "ACC Radar Aligning"

I have driven about for about half a hour, but it is still showing.

Is there anything I can do to either get rid of the message, disable the message or resolve the issue

Thank you

The radar needs to be calibrated. Take it to a Ford dealer who can carry out the re-calibration process.

Thank you

Is there away to disable it for now ??

Maybe a fuse or something ?

worth a look - on VWs its dead common for a tiny carpark nudge to pop the radar out of a push in clip fitting, thus messing up its alignment

check online and its all doom and gloom waste time trying to get a slot for a tech to really mess it up...

guy at work had this and was always getting a message - when I checked it out - I noticed one corner of the front main radar didn't look quite right but I didn't want to break it - he gave it a bigger press in the same corner and came back reporting it "moved" - but two days later still same message - then he had to reverse park in a space and muddled it up, and ended up going lock to lock - and then it popped up the message in the cluster "cruise available" and its worked ever since
