Hi  after any advice please 

I have a 2020 smax currently whilst driving we have a surge in revs occasionally then drops off an goes back to normal.

no engine management lights so no codes stored.

After speaking to ford who obviously have stated with no codes they don't have any ideas as to what  the cause of the surges could be I spoke to a breakdown guy who seems to think its a term known as over running or over revving of the turbo an is quite common an means the turbos on its way out have searched forums I can't find any threads regarding over running or over revving so has anybody had or know of any similar issues
