Pre Heating Relay to glowplugs

Featured Replies

HELP !  I have a Focus 1.8 tdci 06 mark 2 , I believe.  When this motor is running right it goes like hell ,BUT ! at the moment he,s a bit  unwell . It is in limp mode ( cog light with exclaimation mark in the middle ) had codes read but it does not appear to have any at the moment . This is what happened yesterday , I went for a drive in limp for about 15 miles then parked up in the sun , about 1 hour I started engine and the cog light went out and it drove good back home then the light came back on. I already have fitted new glo plugs, oil filter ,air filter , camshaft sensor , And glow plug relay which measures about 25 mm in size like a cube in the fuse box . But I also purchased a Preheating relay with bracket like end with a hole in it to fix it . It’s  about 75 mm long .So do you know where it goes on the car because I can’t find anywhere. There’s no sign of it any where !  I hope you guys can help with this , Rob Smurthwaite
