I notice that on my focus 125 auto, when I'm going downhill, downshifting for engine braking and at a speed around 50/70 km/h, the steering wheel becomes very weird, it's very very sensitive. Floating steering at "high" speed. Not easy to explain sorry but the slightest movement and it turns directly.
I saw that I have a U0428 error (steering wheel angle sensor). Could this be related?
I'd like to point out that a few months ago, I had a light accident, but the steering was apparently unaffected.
 
Do you think that a geometry may be necessary? any other ideas? And what can I do about the u0428?
 
Is it possible to do the reset of the steering wheel with Forscan ?

    Firstly get the geometry checked

    It is possible to reset steering straight ahead angle with FORScan, but NOT until you've had the geometry adjusted

    Pull drift compensation can cause steering issues too, I deactivated mine

    It's in service menu just select process and click run, follow instructions on screen to the letter
