Cannot open drivers door, please help.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to remove the door panel on my mk 1 without actually opening the door? I’m assuming I will need to swap the lock motor which I have done on another door but that was the opposite problem and wouldn’t lock so wasn’t a problem.

Any help much appreciated.

    on my previuos car, someone hit the rear door and i couldnt open it at all. i had to go inside the car and took the door panel out that way.
