Hi all so am trying to replace my pcv valve while the manifold is getting replaced as they both knackered. But a can’t find one with same letters on as the one I’ve took off! So will the new one pictured be same as the one Ive took off despite the white number difference?

I would say same 

go with chassis and engine number to a Ford dealer and buy the one they now say is the correct part....

they may well have changed spec to a later better design - little stays still as everything today

is designed badly
manufactured appallingly
is negatively impacted by accountants meddling
and thus operates terribly

at times the effects of that incompetence are significant enough they have to have another go (as cars still under warranty are littering the dealerships with silly little owner complaints)

usually "that new attempt to get it right" continues ongoing throughout the 7 year must supply spares for cars sold in this market, that the law prescribes - so we should expect to find multiple iterations out there - all fractionally less appalling - by the eight edition it would almost function - but they normally give up on the sixth.....

and better still the aftermarket fakes are always an early design, that never worked and thus not worth buying....
