S-Max fuel door stuck shut

Featured Replies

Hi all. Just returned home and one of my boys popped open the fuel door for no reason 🙄 and a screw type part (black plastic, approx 1.5’’ long see below) fell out (he says out of the fuel door, but I’m not sure - see pics) He then shut the fuel door without replacing said part. Now it’s stuck shut, and is sitting recessed in the aperture when it’s supposed to be flush. So I think this part works the spring mechanism for the door. Any idea how I can open it without it being there ? Thanks IMG_6032.thumb.jpeg.0695ed242cc51d357def438b42188020.jpegIMG_6031.thumb.jpeg.fd4ee4d5e32f00696654b1a79f444bc4.jpegIMG_6033.thumb.jpeg.117d8eaaab1939803dd96536926d985f.jpeg
