I have a fuel level gauge not working with a check engine light on trouble code p0463, 2014 Ford c max energi. I changed the level sender but that wasn't it. I'm trying to check for a short. The diagram I am looking at in Alldata just shows the bcm connecter and pin numbers. Does anyone know how to determine which is the right connector to disconnect?

    I think I found it it is color coded brown. Are there any precautions I should take before removing the connector?
