2013 - S-Max Parking sensor and Reverse Camera Issue

Featured Replies

Recently the parking sensors and reverse camera on our 2013 S-Max just stopped working. Select reverse nothing happens. No camera picture. No tone and no lights on the switch, pressing the switch does nothing. Forscan reports “Error” for the PAM and RCM modules. I can’t perform a reset or diagnostic test on either module. I have replaced the PAM module but the fault persists. My next step is going to be the switch. Has anyone seen this before ? Note - Reverse lights working as normal. Have also tried disconnecting the battery for several hours and checked every fuse on the vehicle.

Then you have absolute proof that the 'switch' is working.

The fault is probably with the Body Control Module (BCM)

By switch I mean the P switch in the dash. Not the reverse actuating switch.
