Active park assist issue

Featured Replies

I've been having an issue with this since it just does not work. Always tells me that it is unavailable and to check manual.

I did have another issue previously, where the ABS/traction control and all assist features stopped working - this has, however, stopped and I did not manage to get a fault code. I suspected this could have been an ABS sensor.

Regardless, with the active city park, I've noticed I can engage this when I'm above 27mph, but anything below it does not work.

Any idea what the cause of this could be? Is this something an ABS sensor could cause an issue with?

I know when I added Active Park Assist to my focus, which previously didn't have it, I had to change the rear abs sensors for different ones for it to work. So the rear sensors are part of the APA system. As you previously had a fault with the ABS system, I'd start by maybe changing then. I'll warn you though, they are a pig to get at if you haven't got a ramp!!!

What model Focus Nathan? Any details on exactly what you required hardware wise for the retrofit.

I know ABS sensors, Active Park Assist Module/s, Front/ Rear Parking Sensors x6 each loom, Console switch and wiring. Anything else my car already has CADS and Reverse Parking Aid Camera so no Front or Rear camera required.

cheers TIA
