2010 Transit Connect LWB soft brake pedal

Featured Replies

Hi, my Ford Transit Connect has a soft brake pedal that travels almost to the floor. I have taken it to 4 different garages, had new pads (front + back), brake fluid, callipers, and master cylinder and the entire system has been bled multiple times (before and after fittings). After the master cylinder was replaced there was slightly more resistance on the pedal and better reaction with the brakes but the pedal still travels nearly to the floor before the brakes properly kick in.

My garage has suggested replacing the ABS pump next, but we are worried we are just sinking money into basically guesswork. Has anyone seen similar before? Or have any ideas about diagnosing the problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Has it had a proper abs bleed there could still be air in the abs module.
