Issues with rear windows

Featured Replies

Hi all, I've just purchased a 2014 Ford Focus 1.6T Titanium X and absolutely love the car, BUT, there have been some notable issues since purchase last week. The first being the notorious book leak. I've spoken to the garage and will be taking it to Ford to (hopefully) repair on Friday under warranty. I have also noticed an issue with the seals around the back quarter windows which are completely broken and likely to come off completely at some point by the looks of it. I'm panicking a bit because from what I've read, the rear quarter windows will need to be replaced?! I don't want to be spending a lot of money on this car as I've only just bought it. The rear windscreen is also not looking so great. I thought I could live with it but it's bugging me a lot! Any advice on what I can do for this and whether there is any way I can save the rear seals rather than having to replace the windows? I've told the garage about this also but not sure they'll do anything about this. Thanks.

I wonder if it's had a minor rear end bump as it's all in the same area.

There isn't really anything you can do about the rear screen delaminating.

The rear quarters can be resealed without removal.  May not look pretty but it'll prevent any more leaks.
