Dropped a washer under rocker cover, please help

Hi there, I’ve stupidly dropped a washer under the rocker cover, it fell in where pictured I don’t see it anywhere, can it go down in the engine ? Any tips on getting it out ? I’ve ordered a inspection camera so will try to locate it. Could it go down to the oil pan ? Any help appreciated. Thanks

    Have you not got a small telescopic magnet?

    I don't think that it is likely there are any holes large enough for it to move anywhere outside of the upper part of the cylinder head. I'd fish around with a magnet as DaveT70 suggested.

     

    Fundamentally it needs to be found so if you have to drain the oil and start cleaning areas bit by bit to see if you can spot it then so be it.

    I'm wondering if it was an injector washer?  They're copper so won't stick to a magnet... :unsure:

    Don't think it'll move much and it's quite large....I'd wait for the inspection camera results before panicking! Oh yeah, forgot to add...🫰

    Found it 😄😄 thanks for the help, I’ve used the inspection camera to locate it and managed to get it out with some wire.
