Car jerky with system off to save battery

Featured Replies

Sorry to bring this topic up yet again but I'm not sure I've read anyone mention their car being jerky along with the system off message. I've had this Focus st line (May 2018 model) since Jan. This system off crap has only started 2 or 3 months back. It doesn't happen every time I drive it and my stop start will generally work if I forget to turn it off at start. Halfords tested battery in summer and said was ok at 60%. When it decides to annoy me with the system off message, it's always jerky at low speeds/low revs. Anyone else get that? I'd charge the damn battery now n then like many say but I live in a 2nd floor apartment so not exactly easy for me to do. Thinking of replacing car battery soon and hoping it sorts it out as it's really annoying. Just hope this jerking happens with others. No fault lights etc and runs fine if the sodding system off message doesn't come on.

You need a new battery if the car is still fitted with the original factory one.

There is a Napa one in there so assuming not the original. Too lazy to move it to find the date in the battery so far though. Typically not on top in full easy view. I mean, why do that!

Until I replace the battery, I guess so. I only wanted to know if this jerkiness has happened to others and relates to the battery charge as read loads about it but noone ever mentions it. I'm more than sure it's all related as only happens when that message pops up and the blower lights blink etc. So I'll just replace the battery
