Heater control cable has come away.

Just changed my heater control consol in my 2009 focus but the other end of the cable has come off and canteen where it's connected to.  I've had the glove box out but can't see where it goes,it can't be far as it's not that long.

    If it's the one I'm thinking of, it goes on to a small arm just above the major joint between top & bottom of the heater box.  I think it's lower than the bottom of the glovebox.  If you can post a photo we might able to direct better.
