Fuel cap cable

Featured Replies

On my 2007 Focus Ghia, I have to unscrew the fuel cap and then hold it like a lemon whenever I am filling up.

Where can I get a replacement cable that holds it to the car?

You can't buy it separately. However, the fuel lid has a handy built in holder. See this video from 4 minutes on... (no more holding it like a lemon 🤣)

To 'repair' mine, I bought a scruffy, though intact one on Ebay, then split it apart and put the 'cable' onto my nice pristine original...

Wooow, Steve. I think there may not have been a cable after all. I will try to do it 'the Ford way'
