I’ve recently bought a 2015 focus with sync 2 system. I would like to add CarPlay.

Does anyone know if this is possible and how do i go about it 

any help would be appreciated 😊

 

Not possible. The only option is to upgrade the whole system to Sync 3.

I've just done this in a 2015 Focus.. you have to change the whole system to Sync 3 and need various parts including a full head unit - came to about £500 in the end.

I can list the stuff you need if it's helpful. Or you might wanna go for a removable 2nd screen option that are coming onto the market just to take care of Car Play.

This issue is, all the car's systems etc run through the head unit so an aftermarket 'not for this car' would mean you lose the functions of the actual car

I purchased my SYNC3 head unit from the following. Kevin does all the updating and can pre-programme them to your spec, for example whether you have a rear camera or not and what splash screen you want:

You'll also need another antenna (cheap) that fits under the dash, and probably a new USB hub (not so cheap) and adapter cable.
