Gearbox issues may be an easy fix idk

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I've got 2011 galaxy titanium x. Engine runs sweet no bang or rattles. Gearbox on the other hand is a bit weird, it engages with the break pedal and changes smoothly but there is nothing, the car doesn't move forward in drive, eventhough it's show D on the odometer, same with reverse, the lights come on but nothing, engine just revs. Would anyone know what this is,car has done 115k. Much appreciated, thank you.

I take it this is a Powershift gearbox?

It sounds like the clutch actuator has failed so it's not engaging the clutch in drive.  The actuators are fairly easy to replace without having to remove the transmission if that is the fault.

Fault codes?

Don't quite understand @TomsFocus statement as it looks like he's mentioning the dry clutch Powershift whereas the wet clutch version (S-Max) doesn't (AFAIK have actuators, the clutches are operated via the oil pressure system.

Is it anything like this:

Apologies if I've got the wrong 'box.  Auto's aren't really my area.
