Belt and water pump done at 94k is this any good to buy?

Difficult to cut through all the b*llshit & cliches tbh.

Looks like a dealer advert so they won't know how good the car really is. This engine doesn't use a cambelt.

Have you checked MOT history using the reg?

Yes mot history doesn't look that bad imo advisories mainly tyres, other than that advisories have all been repaired like suspension arm and roll joints you get the rest!

reg is LR10 RLZ

That engine is known to burn oil excessively.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well, particularly with that mileage.  Nothing emissions related on the MOT history though so this one is probably alright.

That MOT history does look good.  No rust or emissions faults so far.  So the car probably is a decent buy.  Though it depends on the asking price I guess.

There are a few points of corrosion mentioned of that one as far back as 8 years ago.  Nothing structural mentioned, but with MOT-worthy rust already on the car that far back, I would be a bit concerned about the condition of hidden parts now, chassis rails etc.  It might be fine, but I would recommend checking that one over very carefully before purchase.

£1.5k is probably about right if that ones from a trader with some sort of warranty.  And £1k is probably about right for a private sale.

Obviously any 15-20 year old car is a bit of a risk now so if you know anyone that can help look over them at a viewing, that would be good.
