Help please

Hi everyone, I am new here and hoping for some advice please. I’ve been unlucky with cars and I am having an issue with my recently purchased  FOCUS ZETEC TDCI (2012)

I am a mental health nurse and I need my car for work. Yesterday driving home the traction light and engine malfunction came on. The power dropped and the car started shaking on acceleration. I managed to get home but now I’m without my car and unable to get to work.

i have been had over by mechanics before and sold cars that should have been scrapped 😕 and as I’ve invested everything into this car due to my other car failing. I’m hoping you may have some advice for me, as in what may be wrong? Approx cost? A decent garage/mechanic in Macclesfield area. Sorry i am not car savvy. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry, it could be anything

The fault codes need reading correctly to see what's wrong

Could be a wheel speed sensor failure that could cause the lights on dash and possibly suspension component that's failed and damaged it.

Could be it just needs a whole new engine !!! 🤔

Guessing is no more likely to come up with the correct answer than picking the winning lottery numbers. As @DaveT70 has already said the the DTC's need to be read using Ford or FORScan equipment.

Not guessing,I know DTC's need to be read ,but if something suspension or steering has come loose that wouldn't show as a fault code.

It is showing as a fault though, so the codes need reading
