Today, odometer tripped over 130,000 miles (about 7000 miles/year). Still feels a very tight car, now fed on a diet of E5 BP Ultimate. Hopefully, I'll get another 130,000 out of her if she doesn't just rust away 😂

I think you should buy it a celebratory Air Freshener to show it your appreciation.

An occasion such as this deserves greater recognition for the legend that is StephenFord and, being a namesake of my own. We just differ with the 'e' at end.

You know when you've been Tango'd 🙃   (98k miles on my own Black Beauty here) 

 

I bought my Mk2 1.6 in summer 2021 with 120k miles.

It is now at 145k miles and has never once let me down.

In that time it has had four new tyres, a set of spark plugs, and an oil/filter change each year.

A pollen filter and a few bulbs could also be included. I have also replaced a few minor plastic trim parts from the breakers and fitted a Sony DAB head unit.

The only thing that has failed on it is the AC compressor started to leak after the neglected system was re-gassed. That was replaced with a used unit.

Mine was about the same.

My main downside for this car is how high the tax is for something plain and slow.

Slow?? My LX is a flying machine, 0 - 60 is about 30 seconds, makes the blood drain from your face 🤣
