What was factory standard ?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a question about my fiesta titanium X. When I brought it (not from new) it had reversing camera normal back view, and a “top down” camera for getting in close to something behind you (I thought this was a neat function.) also has the autopark function and a very nice B&O sound system, which is pretty loud. Anyway, so I am looking at maybe changing for a ‘21 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid mHEV 125 Titanium X Ed 5dr, but doesn’t have half the stuff my fiesta has, I was kinda shocked that it hasn’t got reversing camera as standard ?, so was the multi camera on the fiesta fitted as standard or was it optional extra (as was stereo im guessing ??)

TIA

Matt

Drivers seat and steering wheel is now an optional extra on that model. 🤣

You will regret getting rid of your 2018 model. You need to read the threads on all the stuff which is now not included (and not even an option) on the newer models. Also you can expect to have many problems with the mHEV system and battery.

Most of the missing stuff is mentioned in this thread:

Price list from 2021 shows what you get (or rather, don't get). If you're more interested in "stuff" than the model, might be worth looking at a Puma which seems to have retained more features.

Tit-X did have rear camera as standard.

They took loads off all the models towards the end. Terrible. You even lost alloy wheels from a Titanium!!

The only one that remained quite highly specced was the Vignale, so try and find one of those

Hey Matt

Definitely it is an xtra the previous owner installed. Sounds like he did a very good job.

The spec of the Mk 8 Fiesta seemed to vary almost on a monthly basis, but where factory reverse cameras were standard or optional it was only a single camera. Example of the view from the 2018 ST-L X I had is below, which was perfectly fine for close up reversing.

Also forgot to mention heated seats, steering wheel and parking assist (which is mad and i dont trust it lol)

i think ive got a belter of a car, fully loaded it looks like, so no danger of getting rid of it now knowing what i know

thankyou

Thankyou all that has taken the time to reply, it looks like the model i have is pretty much fully loaded, and most likely couldn’t technically (or financially) replicate it, so keeping it for sure, along with the issues of the MheV systems, im leaving it well alone !!

thanks again

That’s a good question! It sounds like your current Fiesta Titanium X came with some great features, but not all of those are standard across all models. The reversing camera, multi-camera setup, and even the B&O sound system were often part of optional extras or upgrade packages, rather than being included as standard. It’s surprising, but the '21 EcoBoost Hybrid might not come with those features unless they were added as part of a specific package.

If you’re used to those options, you might want to check if they’re available as add-ons for the newer model, or perhaps explore other trims that offer those features as standard

These "AI" posts are getting better but still don't quite read and sound right.
