In the last day or so, I have had issues on accessing the site, with it taking a couple of minutes loading a page, to within the last hour, the site just being 'unavailable'. When it was unavailable, I tried other browsers and even another device - same result. Of course, now back & running.

Was wondering if there were regular maintenance issues taking place, or more sinister attacks?

Along time ago the Toyota CelicaGT4 owners club experienced an attack which eventually closed the site for months, and on it's re-launch, it had lost all history making it collapse due to lack of member interest soon after. I'd hate that we had the same vulnerability.

More likely the site is getting bogged down by the hundreds of rejected Christmas cracker jokes posted daily over in the FOC crèche 🙁

I've encountered the same things as Stephen mentioned. 

Another one I've found occasionally is when I start trying to reply to a topic, the reply box disappears!

Forum this morning is like walking through treacle with oversized clown shoes! Is anyone working on returning it to it's normal fast speed?

Same for me, yesterday and early this morning, either would not connect most of the time, and I gave up, or very very slow.

At this minute it has just opened up perfectly

sorry about this guys, i am working on this, we recently moved the infrastucture and we need to do a lot of tweaks to get it right. It's mainly down the the server database indexing everything is when it gets laggy, As the server is new and not optimized properly.
This will be fixed soon and if you experience it again then will usually be ok after 5 mins.
