Weird coolant leak

Featured Replies

I checked yesterday morning the engine. Seemed alright. Then made a trip 2.5 hours around 200km to a small town.

In this town is the lpg importer and installer. So there in the workshop they changed the lpg filter (put a more common filter).

Later visited a small village around 30km away (around 30 minutes). It was there i realised most of coolant liquid was missing (lowest level in the box - lower than minimum).

Then went back to workshop. They kept the car for two hours. They added 2 litres of coolant. They said it is leaking (not a lot) from a cross like part next to electric generator - near the main engine). They said it needs 2 hours to be taken out.

Then i returned to my city. Again like the morning i drove the car on high speeds, uphills, downhills, heavy traffic in the city etcetera.

After parking it i check it. The level was the same (or almost the same) as i left the workshop.

After a few hours i checked again. The level was still the same, the coolant's colour still pink. Also the oil lid didn't have something weird.

So what's going on?

The only two rational explanations are either they somehow fixed it or when i began in the morning, coolant was already missing but the missing part wasn't visible in coolant box level.

Today after 40 minutes driving on traffic and on high rpm not even a drop seemed to be leaked.

That part was broken. Coolant was leaking from that spot.
