Can you turn off Google AI results?

Featured Replies

On a quick search, it appears there is a link for an AI free google search, but I can't get it to work.

Anyone know how to use Google without getting it's AI return?

Best bet is to not use Google.

Kinda defeatist, but in the absence of an on/off AI switch on Google, may have to do just that...

I use duckduckgo. Find the results much better (it uses bing search engine without any of the MS stuff), although even that is getting diluted with the AI generated rubbish on other websites nowadays.

I actually use that on my phone (love the flame screen LOL), but for some reason, always stuck to Google on my laptop, though in the last few weeks have become very disillusioned with Google's AI...

I've been using DuckDuckGo for several years now as I prefer not to be tracked and have my web activity harvested and sold to the highest bidder which is Google's business model. They have also been heavily fined for prioritising their own products in their search engine results so you might well get a more balanced search result from other search engines.

To be fair, that has never bothered me, if someone can make a dime on my inane internet usage, well, good luck to them!

The issue I really have is that Google AI has a touch of the BBCs - politically they lean quite far to the left. LOL For example, searching for info on 'climate' or, 'middle east, Israel' returns results that have a definitive political bias. Now, I don't mind me having a bias, but I prefer my source to be a neutral as possible. 😁
