FORScan help

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have FORScan with the license, but I cant seem to find where to find where the cornering lights are located when connected to the van.

The headlights have the lights in them, the bulbs and fuses are all fine, I just assume they need (re)activating?

Also... Has anyone managed to do the global open/close on windows and folding of mirrors via key fob?

If anyone could shed some light on this or point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated 🙂

All of the items you are looking for should be found in the Body Control Module (BCM). Are you using the vLinker FS cable with the windows version of FORScan ?

The Custom is a bit old fashioned where electrical door components are concerned. There is no way to get global close and auto mirror fold to work without adding aftermarket closing modules. The Tourneo, though almost identical to the custom,  has door control modules fitted. Global open/close and auto mirror fold can all be done in the settings menu. I've toyed with the idea of fitting the modules to mine. But the door wiring is different, and the whole door panel is different, as the Tourneo window/mirror switch is different to the custom switch

Hi Apollogary,

Ahh, so it's a doable job but not a quick fix given the bits and pieces needed. Yeah I might give that a miss for now then.

I'll just keep looking for a way to sort the cornering lights as I keep seeing vans with them. I asked one guy how he sorted his and he said forscan and then drove off. Admittedly not a great help but at least a starting point haha

Hi Unofix,

I'll have a look in the morning at the BCM. Yeah the cable I'm using is the vLinker FS one with windows software

Hi Unofix,

I found the module and was able to sort the lights. Turns out the headlights were down as "unconfigured". So after selecting the right one, they worked instantly 🙂
