Genuine Xenon Headlights Retrofit

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a Ford Galaxy titanium X which has the normal Halgoen headlights with LED daytime running lights.
I want to change them and put the Genuine Xenon headlights off my brothers Galaxy titanium x, as he is selling his car.

Will I need to code the lights in?
is the wiring the same or are the pins different?

if the pins are different where can I buy an adapter or what do I need to do to get the lights to work properly on my car.

Any kind of help  would be appreciated.

p.s I’m new to this forum .

Hi Mrpresident

The answer to your question is “yes “ or should I say “maybe”  I’ll do this with my Ford Edge just waiting for parts to arrive.

Where instructions for Edge are widely available in my country ( I’m from Poland) I couldn’t find any for Galaxy but it doesn’t mean it’s not possible.

This is what I need :

-Rear view mirror with sign recognition       automatic high beams camera (my car has this camera already)
-Lights level sensor front and rear

- Headlights control module (HCM)

- LED headlights

Paid version of Forscan as coding is required also you may need to swap pins .

Unfortunately prices for some used parts in UK are crazy expensive a specially for lights level sensors so I would rather buy new ones as cost almost the same.

My galaxy is a titanium x so it already has the

rear view mirror sign recognition.

can you install without the lights level sensor front and back ? I know the rear sensor is fitted onto the shocker. A complete item.
or can you get them separate ?

and what do they cost.

where does the headlights control module fit onto?

and which wire would connect onto it.

did you manage to do yours ?

Hi

Yes you can install it without sensors but HCM need to be installed and location if I’m not wrong is behind glove box. Look for wide connector.
I’ve got mine up and working but unfortunately the headlights I bought from eBay were damaged and is hard to source them elsewhere.

Also be prepared for some wiring as well definitely you will need HCM and headlights wire diagram to know what to do.
Good luck anyway
