improperly functioning windshield washer

Featured Replies

I have a smax mk2, the windshield washer is integrated in the front wipers.
When I press the washer, the liquid only sprays out of the wipers when they are in the upper position, they do not wash the entire window. What is wrong? any reset of the control unit? what to check?

Maybe the pipe is kinked when they are down?

It doesn't seem like it, but I'll double check

Is the problem with both of the wipers or only one of them ?

  • Author

both although the right one seems to spray a bit earlier, neither one sprays immediately

You don't have a problem!  The spray operates on the opening (upward) stroke only, and, assuming that spray is emerging from both blades, the whole of the wiped area is being covered.  Bear in mind that the right- and left-hand blades are different and must be fitted on the corresponding sides and with the jets pointing upwards.
