Hey, I'm the one that usually makes the political references 😂

The fuel tank on these is about 40 litres.

Realistically you should get around 350 miles from it.  (40mpg)

450+ miles would be for the diesel engine.

If it's automatic or only driven around town then the fuel consumption will be much worse.

Unfortunately the OP has asked the same question on 2 different threads, so we're just repeating ourselves to some extent. https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/157083-patrol/

We still don't have  an accurate mpg figure or details of how/where it's driven. Plus, its a 15 year old car, no idea of mileage or condition, when last serviced, are tyres correctly inflated, etc.

This was a bit of an odd model it always seemed to me. I recall when we (and several friends also)  had a 1.25 as a second car the various dealers all recommended avoiding the 1.4 as not much quicker than the 1.25 and barely more economical than the 1.6.

Still got a Mk 7 brochure and the claimed urban figures are 37.2 (manual) or 31.7 (auto).

So, as well as four wheel drive, we can see the engine has been fully dina-flowed 😂
