Just FYI a lot of these F12 are fake. They are at best F11 with modified info. 

Does your Sync say insert SD card or does it just show a compass?

insert sd card and have installed card and still getting insert sd card

Afaik there no F12 cards it will be fake although some of the fakes are using older genuine maps with a modified version number so might still work. 

Do you know if the car came with navigation from factory?

i believe it was as i have been on the ford site and it says maps up to date 

but no card when i brought the car

 

 

Does the USB port next to the SD card work?

not tried it yet will plug a lead into it

just plugged phone into usb and works fine

What is the build date of your car ?

Is it before or after 3rd August 2016

not sure on build date it was first reg in march 2016

So we can safely say it was built before 3rd August 2016.

I'll have to refresh my train of thought now, I've forgotten what I was thinking 🤣

Also is the sd holder all ok - when you insert a card it should go fully home and "click" into place.

To remove a card you need to press it inwards slightly first, then release pressure and it should pop up proud of the holder

sd holder seems ok does click when inserted and pops up when pressed again going to get a garage to check it is working

 

Do you know anybody else that uses ford Sync2 - does not matter how old their sd card - just try it to see if it confirms your veh is ok and the card you have is therefor faulty
