Correct way to program key transponder

Featured Replies

Focus mk1.5

Hello

Please could someone tell me how to programme a transponder chip in a key, I'm wanting to add another key.

I've done the remote bit, that was easy, but the other bit, I've not managed,

Thanks

Glenn

If you have the master key I believe it's key in ignition on key out three times until you get a beep then put the new key in

Ford Focus Owners Handbook:

See page 69 on how to programme the remote to lock and unlock the doors.

See page 71 on how to programme the key to start the engine. Please note you must already have TWO working keys to be able to add more.

Perfect thank you unofix.

I was trying one key with the rest of my keys,

I will remove those and try just the single key.

Thanks again
