replace halogen high beam with led. can this give s problem?

Featured Replies

Galaxy 2

I have xenon lights. The high beam is H1 halogen. Can I replace the bulb for led without canbus problems?

It's more the beam pattern you will have problems with.

Canbus issues can be down to luck

For high beam the pattern is less relevant than normal beam. Have to see.

Canbus errors are annoying.

Noone tried so far?

Simple answer is yes you can, depending on what brand of LED bulbs you use the beam pattern will be slightly different but for intermittent high beam use I can’t see it really being a issue as the xenon’s are lot better at night vs halogen anyway.

one issue I discovered when changing bulbs in my 2013 galaxy was I lost DAB signal when the high beams were on. This doesn’t affect my 2017 galaxy. Might have been a issues specific to the brand I was using (autobeam)

I have changed many halogen and xenon bulbs to led and never had a problem
