Mk7.5 Fiesta Cabin Temperature Control Sensor Location

Featured Replies

I have a 2013 Mk7.5 Fiesta with auto climate control and was wondering if anyone knows where the grey heater temperature control sensor, part number 1256506, is located.

The problem is the heater isn't maintaining the temperature showing on the climate control display, mainly blowing hot air. I have already changed the blue sensor in the drivers side footwell but hasn't made any difference so I'm suspecting it is part 1256506.

Any help will be much appreciated as most of the garages I have taken this to have been utterly clueless!

I've checked a few used HVAC boxes on ebay and none of them have that grey sensor fitted as far as a I can see.

That isn't the cabin temp sensor anyway though.  I suspect your fault is in the cylinder sensor near the driver knee.  Sometimes they fill up with dust and just need cleaning out.  Others they need full replacement.

Thanks for your message. It's strange when I enter the registration number it shows this grey sensor as being compatible, but as you say maybe that is incorrect.

As it happens a garage I took the car to did actually clean this sensor by the driver's knee, but didnt make any difference so I thought maybe the fault is somewhere else.

I believe the part number for the sensor near the driver's knee is 3M5T-19C734-AB, but unfortunately I can't seem to get hold of a brand new part from Ford so I think I'll have to try and source a second hand one
