1.8 Duratec Oil Specification?

Featured Replies

Hi all.  So I bought oil from Halfords today, reg number search brought up: TotalEnergies Quartz Ineo EcoB 5w-20.  Just noticed spec is FORD WSS-M2C-948-B.

Ford recommends WSS-M2C913-C or WSS-M2C913-D while Haynes manual states WSS-M2C-948-B.

Suppose question is, can I use B without damaging engine?

any ideas, thank in advance.

The problem with the owners handbook and Haynes manual is that they can't be updated as the years go by...  This one even caught me out a few months ago.

Thank you for putting my mind at ease Tom.  Even Opie Oils is stating I can't use WSS-M2C-948-B.  I'll update my text file that has all my reference info to WSS-M2C-948-B also.
