Stop start

Any ideas, pressed stop start button to keep engine running whilst I left the car for a short moment got out of the car engine stopped and now won’t start , ignition comes on but it won’t start ?



Try disconnecting the battery for half an hour.  Sounds like the system glitched.

With any car I have drive the Engine restarts if you open the drivers door when S/S has stopped the Engine for safety reasons, I thought Ford cars would have been the same although I have never tried it with a Ford.

Can't find the thread when I want it (!) but I have posted on this somewhere. I parked up in my previous Fiesta Mk 8, slipped into neutral while distracted** and start/stop turned off the engine. Then I got out of the car without pressing the ignition/starter button, locked the car, and walked off. Only noticed as the puddle lights were still on when I returned. 

**Normally I habitually switch off while the clutch is down and leave it in first or reverse, so a bit of a one off for me. Senior moment probably!😀

Try putting it in gear, then back to neutral, foot off the clutch, then back in to gear and it will start 😊
