Reverse camera comes on when not in reverse gear

Hi everybody, so I’ve got a 2021 mk8 fiesta, over the last few days the reverse camera started flicking on to the screen at random times when the car isn’t even in reverse, this is now getting worse and doing it more often, when I selected first gear today the back wiper came on as though I’d selected reverse with the auto wipers switched on, I’m assuming the problem is related to the reverse light switch if that’s even still a thing these days 🤣 just wanted to get some opinions please.
