My ford galaxy ignition turns on but then when you go to start it it doesnt turn over.

I dont think it is the starter , could it be the ignition

    To eliminate the guess work, use FORScan and monitor the start circuit. It could be quite a number of things from as simple as the start relay, to a bigger problem with the PATS system.

    i think it was a faulty starter relay because i took them out and then put them back in again and it working fine now
