How to change view on YouTube?

Featured Replies

I have always watched YouTube within a browser with the screen on the left hand side, and a list of recommendations on the right hand side. This morning I have woken up to a central screen which I don't like. I have sloshed through all settings but can't find a method to revert back to my usual view. How do I do it?

I can set, 'Theater mode', 'Full screen', 'Mini Player' and 'pop out window' - still can't see an option to revert to what I want...

I wonder if that's a 'Mobile View'?  Mine is also still the same on desktop view on laptop.

It's on my laptop, wouldn't even know how to get a 'mobile' view on it?

FIXED IT!!

After much head scratching, I noticed the address bar was at 120%. I simply reverted back to 100% and all fell back into place. Nope, no idea how the zoom function kicked in, probably just big clumsy fingers accidentally hitting something I shouldn't have 😂 Still, another learning aid for the toolbox!

Zoom on my browser (Firefox) is controlled with Ctrl/+ and Ctrl/-. I don't know if that's common across all browsers but, as you say, you probably accidentally hit this or some other key combination to trigger it.
