S Max Panoramic Roof Window Blind

Featured Replies

Hi All,

We’ve got a 2014 titanium X which has been a great vehicle for us, the only component that doesn’t work correctly is the panoramic roof window blind. Mechanically it operates correctly but somehow the blind has dislodged from the side tracks so it gathers and jams the mechanism. I’ve been quoted around £1,500 to replace the whole unit but that seems excessive for something I’m sure I could fix with some know how.

An essential function if you have four young kids who you desperately want to go to sleep in the car, hopefully one of you geniuses can help.

Thank you

Roy

I don't know the answer to this but I have a similar problem with our S Max.  Although it still opens and closes, a short length of the blind on one side has detached from the track.  When I have some time to spare I'll have a gentle poke around to see whether I can fix it, though for the time being I'm just keeping it shut.  Stay tuned.
